Butter London Spring / Summer 2012

I just got the email and wanted to share this info, here on my blog, too. I think the colors are pretty, pretty, pretty so I decided to print it. I don’t own any Butter London nail polishes yet, but I hope to pick up Wallis and All Hail The Queen soon because I have heard so many good things about their polishes.

Available Where I Shop: Ulta, Ulta.com and @ ButterLondon.com – $14.00 each

Sonia Kashuk “Lend A Hand” Nail Polish Trio

I am so late with this, but I did buy the Lend A Hand nail polish trio by Sonia Kashuk from Target a couple of months back. I love this trio and the quality of the polishes are awesome. I love these three colors so much! In the picture below of the polish on my nails, I’ve worn them for an active two days and I only see polishes disappearing from the tip edges, no chipping yet. I use Seche base and top coats…fyi.

The purchase of the nail polishes and everything else in the collection which includes makeup tools, eye shadows and brushes all benefit Breast Cancer research.

If you can still get your hands on some of these items (I believe you can I’ve seen them, still, recently) then pick up something for a good cause. Sonia Kashuk makeup and tool are not garbage so you will love what you pick up and it will be useful to you.

These items are limited edition so once they are gone they are gone…and and and if I had to give advice as to what to get from this collection, I’d say the nail polishes hands down.

Price: $9.99 for all

Ulta Haul…Breast Cancer Awareness

I really like Ulta. So far, I’ve been to one Ulta and my best friend has been to another and we both agree that they should seriously update and keep their NYX displays stocked. Bleh! I want that silver jumbo eye pencil and everytime I go to Ulta it has been opened and messed with…all of them. It’s really sloppy. Maybe NYX should package their cosmetics different so that they cannot open and provide testers like they do at the Fragrance Outlet. But anyway…moving on.

Here is my haul. I grabbed up that 69 piece Ulta Get Gorgeous makeup traincase. It comes in this plastic/vinyl covered train case. The design on the traincase is nice. There are three colors to choose from black, grey and pink. If you purchase the pink one then some of the proceeds from your purchase will go to Breast Cancer Awareness. I am not a pink person, unfortunately, so I picked up the black on and purchased a couple of things where proceeds will benefit Breast Cancer Awareness so NO WORRIES!

The traincase comes with 32 eyeshadows (a mix of shimmer and mattes, but more shimmers – pretty and pigmented), 4 lipglosses (2 wands, 2 in pots), 12 lip colors (great colors), 4 lipsticks, 2 shimmer powders, 2 eyeshadow quads (one warm and one smokey – 2x smaller than a MAC quad), 4 blushes (powder), 2 concealers, 1 translucent powder, 1 bronzer, 1 Ulta powder brush (flat), 1 dual lip liner pencil, 1 dual eye liner pencil and the traincase comes with no lock (which is OK because I’m not ever taking it anywhere). There is also a mirror built into the traincase and there are also several disposable application brushes if you want to use your kit on someone else other than yourself. Oh and there is a small ulta lip brush and what looks like a compact blush brush…totally useless from the looks of it.

Overall, I love my traincase. It cost me 20 dollars after using a 5 dollar off coupon. I used the warm palette today and it looks great. I added MAC Deep Truth eyeshadow (my favorite MAC eyeshadow) into the outer V and on my waterline because I’m wearing blue today. It came out nice. The shimmer in the Ulta eyeshadows are not much and they go on nice, easy to work with. Such pretty colors. The traincase is medium sized so it’s easy to find a place to put it. Again, happy happy with my purchase.

Last but not least, I bought a pink Yankee candle in “Mandarin Cranberry” (smell so good) for $14.99 and a bottle of O.P.I. nail polish (my first O.P.I. nail polish) in “Pink of Hearts 2009″ $8.50. At Ulta, if you buy three two O.P.I. nail polishes you get the third one free. I can’t remember when the deal ends, but I know soon. Both of these purchases will benefit Breast Cancer Awareness.
