To The Beach Baby!
What a pleasure it was to haul from such a BEAUTIFUL collection. The drama is with the Marine Life Highlighting Powder so there is going to be a seperate post about that next. Here are all of the items I picked up on May 27, 2010. I ended up ordering Flurry of Fun lipglass the day after because I kept reading on Specktra.net how that lipglass looks amazing over Thrills lipstick. I gave in. I haven’t gotten it yet so that will be posted later. Still thinking about getting the beach bag…not sure though.
Yummy!!!!

MAC Lipstick in Thrills – Price: $14.00

MAC Eyeshadows in Sweet & Puncy, Sand & Sun and Firecracker – Price: $14.50 each

MAC 131 Brush – Price: $40.00 (I didn’t get the 130 ‘cuz it’s permanent and I’m loving my 109 and 188 at the moment. I’m not sure what I’m going to be using this brush for yet though.)

Swatches!

Sephora, Bare Escentuals and MAC Haul…YAY!
Yesterday after a HUGE New York & Company (50% off everything plus $70 off purchases over $150 – I did major damage) and Disney Store (the family and I are going to DISNEY WORLD for Halloween so I had to pick up a few thing – did major damage here too as I always do) haul, I decided to head on over to my other two places to shop…Sephora and MAC! Yay! I picked up some great items. I’ll start with Bare Escentuals….
I don’t like Bare Escentuals anymore, but I’ve always wanted their eyeshadow in Denim and so I finally bought it. It’s just a frosty deep royal blue color and I just love it. I love love love love it. I didn’t open it to swatch it because I didn’t feel like dealing with minerals everywhere. I know you all understand that. Price: $13.00

And here is my MAC haul! I only picked up two items. I did a Back 2 MAC and got an eyeshadow in Cranberry (turned in 6 empty MAC eyeshadow quads – $0). I was going to get another neutral color, but I have so many already…trying to fill up my palettes with lots of color now. Lastly, I finally gave in and bought the “ever shedding” (so I’ve heard many times) 109 brush (Price: $32.50). I’m going to use this brush for the first time today with my new NARS Sheer Matte foundation that is included in my Sephora haul below.

Last, but not least…my Sephora haul! I asked for my belated b-day gift so I got that. It’s a Sephora eyeshadow, an eyeliner brush and a mascara. I haven’t looked into what it is exactly so I can’t say. I also picked up a staple, Urban Decay Primer Potion (Price: $18.00). I have a tube of Too Faced Shadow Insurance in my collection, but I find that Urban Decay works better for me…those two items are very different to me and I hear folks say a lot that they are equivalent. I think not!

I also picked up my very first Make Up For Ever item and I bought an eyeshadow in #99 (Price: $19.00). I had been wanting a red eyeshadow for a long long time and was going to get it from MAC Pro, but I just haven’t been making it over to NYC lately. I went for MUFE and I am super happy with my only red eyeshadow. I had to get another NARS blush because I love them so and got Torrid blush (Price: $26.00) which was next on my list to get. It is a beautiful corally color (not so much brown as Lovejoy), not to shimmery blush…it’s gorge! I’m running out of MAC Studio Fix Fluid so I decided to give NARS Sheer Matte foundation (Price: $42.00) a try and I got it in the shade “Trinidad”. If this is not my shade (it was the darkest available) then I’m going to return it for a refund, but I have heard great things about it.
And lastly, I had to get this nail polish I saw on BeautyChameleon.com while surfing through it called, “Under My Trench Coat” – Sephora by OPI (Price: $9.00). When I saw the swatch about a month ago I was like I had to get it so I got it. It reminds me of a brighter Metro Chic with no purple undertones. I love it. It’s unique when it comes to my polish collection.

That’s all!!! Next haul will be massive and it will be from the MAC To The Beach Collection. I am so looking forward to that collection.
MAC Haul From Two Weeks Ago
I actually to one of the MAC counters I go to from time to time to pick up that Dirty greasepaint stick and came out with some other stuff as usual. I picked up a 210 brush (Price: $17.50), but I really think I need to go back for the 209 because they are two very different brushes. I need it! Here are pics…

I picked up two nude lipsticks…I consider MAC Coconutty (right) and Fresh Brew (left) as nudes for NC50s. Both of these lipsticks are BEAUTIFUL. Coconutty has a shimmer in it and reminds me of Bronzilla with no red in it. Fresh Brew is just a creamy flat beige, very neutral. I love both of these lipsticks and I need to get some more nudes since I’m always dramatic with my eye and I love lipsticks so much more than lipglasses. I’ve vowed not to buy anymore lipglasses from anywhere until I use up all of the ones I have. Price: $14.00 each

I did pick up that MAC Greasepaint stick in Dirty and because of all the hype I wasn’t. I’m glad I did because it’s not as dark as the black one from the Style Black collection which makes for a great brown smokey look. There is some shimmer in this stick and it’s creamy…I did break mine unfortunately, but I can still use it. Love it! Price: $17.50

I needed a brown eyeliner and I’m been very frustrated with brown eyeliners because I can’t find one that will show up and this one doesn’t either. I mean it’s there, but it’s not there. I think I’m going to have to find a good kajal brown liner even though I didn’t want to go there, but I’m thinking that my solution. I picked up MAC Eye Kohl in Costa Riche…I should have gotten Teddy instead because it goes on creamier and the flects of gold are very pretty. I will go back for that one. Price: $14.50

And last but not least, MAC Blushcreme in Optimistic Orange. I went in to buy this blush when the Lilyland collection came out because it was orange, but I didn’t and then regretted it. As I was shopping at the counter I noticed they had this blush out and I asked if they had it and of course I got it. I’m still trying to work with this cream blush as it is my first and I have dark skin so I do have to layer over it with powder blush. I have to build up this blush in order to wear it alone and I will ultimately wear it like that because I do want the “dewey” look for summer. This blush is going to be really nice for Summer at the beaches. Price: $18.50

Bad swatch time! Swatches from left to right…MAC Coconutty lipstick, MAC Fresh Brew lipstick, MAC Costa Riche Eye Kohl, MAC Dirty Greasepaint Stick and MAC Optimistic Orange Blushcreme.

Love Lace Is Such A Pretty Eyeshadow!!!
I have been very lazy lately and not posting my hauls when I get them – so I am late and behind according to MAC’s collection release schedule. I am doing my best. I have been soooo lately, but I manage to go hauling right? OK no more excuses. I will try to keep up. I’m having issues with nail polishes because I can’t remember the names and I’m too lazy to go look at them after I put them away. I bought a lot of polishes and I’ll be posting them some time soon. I love nail polish!
Here is all that I got over the past month…
From the MAC store I picked up MAC Love Lace eyeshadow from the, Love Lace collection, which is absolutely lovely (it looks hot on my lid – I think it’s a frost but I can’t remember right now), a back up of MAC 3N lipglass and MAC 5N lipstick which I should have bought a back up of because I have been using that lipstick almost everyday since I got it. Eeeeek!
I went to Bloomingdales to see if they still had MAC Blue Flame mineralized eyeshadow because I had saw it two weeks prior. I got lucky and picked up the last one. Yay! So I have all of the Style Black eyeshadows except for MAC Young Punk which I didn’t want. I also asked for a MAC Kohl Power Pencil in Raven which is lovely.
