MAC Digi-Pops Collection Haul from Nordstrom

Here was my MAC Digi-Pops wants list I created after I saw Christine (from Temptalia) Youtube video of Digi-Pops Dazzle lipsticks and Dazzleglass swaches…

l/s: Hot Sass, Infused with Glam, Naughty You
d/g: You Got the Look, Utterly Posh, Hi Falutin

…and I ended up buying only three products from this collection which is really sad because I really wanted to love these dazzle lipsticks and dazzleglasses, but I wasn’t feeling the excess glitter in the products.  I knew they were glittery, I didn’t see them swatch out as glitter seeing it online, but when I got there in person it was a different story.  I can see why Temptalia gave the lippies in this collection a B rating – they are just not that good in my opinion.

Here is my MAC Digi-Pops Story (which was also posted on Specktra on launch day):

“I got to the Nordies by my job at 6:30pm, looked through the Digi display and felt like it was snowing glitter. I was in a rush because I had other shopping to do so I bought my must haves from this collection — Hot Sass, Utterly Posh and Baby’s on Fire. None of the other products moved me so I passed on them.

I get home around 7:30pm and I take pics of my haul for my blog and then I try on my products. Too much glitter in Hot Sass for me…very chunky – huge turn off. I was so disappointed because I am madly into oranges this summer, but it’s clunky. I wipe it off and then realize there is glitter around my mouth and I can’t get it off. LOL. Reminds me of those Superglasses I returned some time ago.

I then put on Utterly Posh and same issue, too clunky with glitter. It just didn’t go on smooth enough for me. Heavy like. I wipe that off and more glitter on around my mouth.

I put on Baby’s on Fire and the glitter in it is not clunky at all and it goes on smooooooth. Such a pretty color! I will rock it in the Fall for sure. Love it!

8:30pm I’m at the Nordies by my house returning Utterly Posh and Hot Sass.     I just knew I was going to love those two from Temptalia’s swatches, but it didn’t work out for me. Just too much clunky glitter, not attractive on me.  It also seemed like the glitter in the Dazzleglasses were very chunky and compared to the other dazzleglasses I own, I’m right.”

At least I was able to get one Dazzle lipstick into my collection. I’m happy anyway.
