My Chanel Nail Polishes Came In!
I think I went too far. I paid a ridiculous amount of money for these two fabulous Chanel nail polishes and why do I not regret it?? I love them and will be keeping them and I am so happy to have them…beautiful colors. With my purchase I was able to choose two, free samples which are a fragrance called Cristalle by Chanel and Mousse Confort Rich Foaming Cream Cleanser. I hope I don’t like any of these because I don’t want to pay the prices for them!!!! Ha!
I immediately rocked Particuliere the first day I received the polishes and figured that it was best I wear it in the Fall since the color is more in the brown family and not so much in the brown gray family – not summery of a color at all. I have no other colors like it so that’s awesome!
On the other hand, Nouvelle Vague looks like some other colors I have mermaid blue/green ???. The next two colors I’m getting will be Vamp and the overly hyped up Paradoxal. Here are the pictures of my new nail polish additions below…Price: $23.00 each
Collective Nail Polish Haul
Over time I have added more nail polishes to my collection. I have one I just bought recently that I forgot to take a pic of so I won’t include, but it’s a nice dark lavender color with a metallic, rainbow, iridescents to it by Sally Hansen from her Insta-Dri line…I forget the name at the moment, but I just wanted to mention it. I have been reaching for my Sally Hansen Insta-Dri and Xtreme Wear polishes A LOT this summer. I really need to start doing monthly favorites posts. I’ll think about it.
Anyway, I have collected these polishes from Walgreen, Target and Sally’s over time this summer. Here is what I got.
I must say that I love all of these by Sally Hansen. Lively Lilac is just a beautiful lilac polish (and really the only purple I feel comfy wearing on my fingers) that works well on both the fingers and toes. Wet Cement is the bomb and I’ve gotten compliments on this one – took it to the nail salon with me – works well on both fingers and toes. Twisted Pink which I bought because Ms Fili aka MsFiliLocaLola from Youtube recommended this “hooka” pink to her subscribers so I had to get it – works well on my toes!
And I picked up another Seche Clear and Seche Vite (loving both) for home (I have a set at work), a couple of China Glaze, one Nima Ultra Pro (which I have not tried out yet) and three Finger Paints (which I have not tried out yet, but I really like these colors for Fall) nail colors from Sally’s.
These Finger Pants polishes, at the time, was buy 2 get 1 free so I did just that and plus I am really feeling these colors. From left to right…Bauhaus Burgundy, Free Form Fawn and Holly-Wood Frame.
A Nima Ultra Pro nail color in Blu Blaze…
China Glaze…loving these colors (Solar Power and Spontaneous).
My Walgreens, Odd Lots & Sally’s Beauty Haul!
This past weekend I was not supposed to haul anything because I am supposed to be saving up for spending money to throw away on our upcoming Disney World trip, but you know…ish happens. Anyway, we ended up at Odd Lots and I picked up a few things…
At Odd Lots, I checked out the beauty aisle and saw packs of 30 makeup remover wipes by “Epielle” (never heard of them before) for $1.00 each so I picked up four packs. I should have picked up more because the wipes are VERY GOOD! I am impressed and happy! They are not as big as MAC wipes and are smaller than the Kirkland brand wipes from Costco, but I like these wipes better than the Kirkland ones. These wipes are soft and the Kirkland ones are a bit scratchy – they remove makeup just as good as the MAC wipes and most importantly they are cheap! I will be going back to buy more of these wipes this coming weekend for sure because it’s a great deal!
I also picked up a heated eye lash curler by “Trim” just because it was cheap and I wanted to try out a heated eye lash curler. I paid $2.50 for it so if it sucks I won’t be mad because it’s, well, cheap – no sweat. I have yet to open the package and try it out. I will do a review on it very soon.

I had to go to the Pharmacy over at Walgreens so I took a stroll through the makeup aisle, like I always do, and found that they had a BOGO on Maybelline and I love Maybelline mascaras so I picked up two. I paid full price for one and got 50% off of second one. I wanted to try out the limited addition Collosal Express Volum Diamond mascara so I was drawn to that product right away (which only got OK review) and since I could get the other one half off I decided on Lash Stiletto Voluptuous which I had read good reviews about. I probably will not be reviewing these products for a while because I have other mascaras to finish… Price: I don’t remember and I lost my receipt – SORRY!
And lastly, I picked up my favorite pencils to use to fill in my brows and they are the cheap Wet n Wild brow / eye liner pencil in dark brown. I go through them fast and I’m constantly sharpening, but I love them anyway. Price: $.99 each

All of my other mascaras I need to finish up or work with…

My first time at Sally’s was as success. I hauled nail polishes there only because those were the only products I was interested in in the entire store. Oh, I did pick up those rice paper blotting sheets (30 sheets for $3.49 – not bad) and I really like them. Not bad. I paid the $5.00 and became a Sally’s member. I forget what the official name for it is. I will be going back to Sally’s since there is one in my area now – so close to my house.
Anyway, I’ll show you in pictures as to what I hauled. I paid $4.99 each for the China Glaze polishes, I can’t remember what I paid for the Orly polish and mini base/top coat that came with it and I paid around $4.00 for the Seche Vite base coat (seals like nobody’s business) and around $6.00 for the Seche Vite fast drying top coat (dries hella fast and I have to work to get it off even with a polish remover with acetone). I must say that I have a lot of top and base coats from OPI, Sally Hansen, cheapy ones, etc. and honestly, the Seche products are winners! I will not be using another brand of base or top coats ever againg. The Seche Vite hype around the web and beyond is right on and I am so glad! My nail polishes lasts long, doesn’t chip or dent and dries hella fast. Lovin’ it!

My First Ulta Haul
My best friend and I went on our first visit to Ulta today in Holmdel, NJ (great city by the way) and we thought the place was awesome. As we walked through the front door we noticed that the cosmetics aisles were located on the left and the fragrances were located on the right. We headed straight for the cosmetics aisles of course. My best friend said that Ulta reminds her of Sephora, but I don’t think so. Ulta is so much bigger and they carry a wide range of cosmetic lines from high to low and lots of fragrances, skincare and hair care products…A LOT!
We walked around every aisle that held high-end cosmetics and swatched products here and there. We then watched a MA make up a customer with Urban Decay cosmetics. The lady’s face came out really cute.
After our little tour of high-end cosmetics was over we went looking for NYX cosmetics. We both have been wanting that NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk and we were able to snag a couple. We’ve been wanting this pencil for a long time and could never find it at our fragrance outlet store or anywhere else for that matter – I cannot wait to try them. I also picked up a dark brown jumbo eye pencil as well and when I got it home, my 22 month old got a hold of it while I was taking haul pics and yeah, she made a little mess of it. I won’t be able to line my waterline with it now, but it’s OK. I need the practice filling in my waterline with a brush anyway. Price $3.99 each, but I got a buy one get 50% the second deal.
We were then off to look around at more low-end cosmetics and we I found Eco-Tools (which was on my list). I picked up an angled liner brush and a eye shader brush. Both brushes are synthetic though, but soft and I’ve heard great things about both brushes so I thought I’d give it a try before I go for the MAC equivalent brushes. I already have the Eco-Tools Powder brush (which is my favorite brush) so why not get more brushes in the same family?? Price $4.99 for each brush.
So, we were off again and I wanted to check out the nail polishes because I’ve been wanting to get my first bottle of China Glaze nail polish and the only color I found interesting within the inventory left was a burn orangey color called “Cruisin”. It’s a beautiful, sheeny undertone type of burn orange and I love it. *****TOTALLY OFF-TOPIC, BUT I MUST SHARE***I was like I had to get it because today I ordered NARS Blusher in Taj Mahal which is a burnt orange blush and though I have never seen it in real life before, I love it. I love NYX Cinnamon blush, which is an orange colored blush, but I heard that orange looks great on the cheeks of women of color so I decided to go ahead and order. I will go more into the story as to why I ordered NARS blusher in Taj Mahal + backup once I get it in the mail. I’m so excited.****OK NOW BACK TO THE TOPIC AT HAND**** Plus it’s almost Fall so this color fits the season so I’ll be sporting this polish on the 21st. Price $6.50.
I wanted to get China Glaze base and top coats, but there wasn’t any.
I may have to just order them online.
After I picked up my nail polish, we decided to explore Ulta some more and my best friend eyes got caught upon the cosmetic bags shelf and made my way over to the skincare shelf where the sales where. I didn’t get much of a sale, but I picked up Cetaphil Facial Cleansar that came with a free squeeze tube of Cetaphil Lotion. I can’t wait to use it, starting tonight, as I need help with these breakouts I’ve been getting all summer. I just wish it would stop. Please excuse the flash off of the Cetaphil bottle in the picture, but it was wrapped in plastic so that’s why the flash bounced off so hard. Price $9.34
That’s it! I’m not sure what’s up with my camera today, but it’s actiing crazy. Here are pics from my first Ulta store haul:
