A Back 2 MAC & a Return 2 MAC
I suck because I cannot work with that eyeshadow in Sand & Sun from the To The Beach collection so I took it back to MAC and swapped it out for Shimmermoss in the To The Beach collection packaging and I am so very happy with it. Very pretty!
I had one set of Back 2 MAC containers so I picked up an eyeshadow in Rule. Rule reminds me of Illamasqua’s eyeshadow in Vapour, but it has a little more red in it. Both eyeshadows are matte and I own both of them. Not sure why I went with another orange-y eyshadow (including Off the Page), but I love them.
Here are my product pictures and swatches!!!

My “Marine Life Highlighting” Powder Story & Pics
I’m going to start off with Marine Life story (everybody has one!) so here is mine! I went on May 27, 2010 to my MAC counter to pick it up. It was the only item from the To The Beach collection I picked up that day because I was broke. Pay day was the next day so I returned to pick up the rest of my haul the next day. Anyway…on to the story!
MY MARINE LIFE HIGHLIGHTING POWDER STORY!
MAC selfishly launched their “To The Beach” collection days earlier than they were supposed to. The official launch date for the U.S. was written as May 27, 2010 so I waited patiently for that day to arrive. I told my best friend that I was going to the mall on my lunch break to pick up Marine Life Highlighting Powder and I really had to have it. I told her that it was the most sought after product of the collection and I wanted it bad too. It was about 11:30 am and she told me to call the MAC counter to see if they could put one on hold for me because my lunch break is at noon. I took her advice (thank you Lisa Lisa – love you much!) and the MA told me that he’s going to hold the LAST ONE FOR ME! OMFreakingG! I was like what? The last one? The mall opens at 10am! I was a little confused, but then I went on Specktra.net where I found out that the collection had been launched a week prior. WTHell?
People was saying how Marine Life was sold out at their freestanding MAC store and counters where they lived. I felt so lucky to get the last one at mine on hold. So, I decided to take my lunch break from 11:30 to 12:30am so I could FLY down to the mall to get my Marine Life before it mysteriously ended up in somebody else’s shopping bag.
I get to the counter and there is this one chick in line buying a bunch of stuff from the To The Beach collection and just running her mouth with the MA about the To The Beach collection and about the 130 and 131 brushes (gah!) at the cash register. I was nervous and saying in my mind “hurry up lady…let’s go!” amongst other things I rather not disclose in this PG rated blog of mine. There was a woman behind me waiting with A LOT of Back 2 MAC items so I was glad I got to the register before her. Anyway, the girl in front of me asks the MA if they were getting in anymore of the Marine Life highlighting powders and the MA told her no and that items like that never come back a second time – I was on fire as in anxious – tummy aching. The MA also told the lady in front of me that they only got in maybe eight or nine of them. What??? I’m not sure why MAC does that…why not send all of their stores and counters ample amounts? If they do that they will make even more bookoo money! Doy!
So, blabber mouth pays and leaves FINALLY! I get to the MA at the cash register and I tell her that I have a Marine Life Highlighting Powder on hold. She opens the drawer and I see that there were about five of them on hold. She asks me what my name was and I tell her my name and she picks up a bag and HANDS IT TO ME!!! I immediately heard that Godly score from up above. You know the score…it sounds like a soft “ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” LOL! I am so serious. I took my Marine Life out of the bag to admire it and I saw a beam of light flash before my eyes (ok so I made that up). I was so freaking happy though! I left the store a happy lady! No swatches sorry…it is the day before Memorial Day and I have yet to get my brush and dive in. I want to keep it looking new and pretty for as long as I can because I only have one. I wish I could have picked up two like some people I know. Did this purchase make up for me missing out on the MAC Ripe Peach Blush Ombre? No, but it feels good! The End! Price: $26.00

Bootiful!
Sephora, Bare Escentuals and MAC Haul…YAY!
Yesterday after a HUGE New York & Company (50% off everything plus $70 off purchases over $150 – I did major damage) and Disney Store (the family and I are going to DISNEY WORLD for Halloween so I had to pick up a few thing – did major damage here too as I always do) haul, I decided to head on over to my other two places to shop…Sephora and MAC! Yay! I picked up some great items. I’ll start with Bare Escentuals….
I don’t like Bare Escentuals anymore, but I’ve always wanted their eyeshadow in Denim and so I finally bought it. It’s just a frosty deep royal blue color and I just love it. I love love love love it. I didn’t open it to swatch it because I didn’t feel like dealing with minerals everywhere. I know you all understand that. Price: $13.00

And here is my MAC haul! I only picked up two items. I did a Back 2 MAC and got an eyeshadow in Cranberry (turned in 6 empty MAC eyeshadow quads – $0). I was going to get another neutral color, but I have so many already…trying to fill up my palettes with lots of color now. Lastly, I finally gave in and bought the “ever shedding” (so I’ve heard many times) 109 brush (Price: $32.50). I’m going to use this brush for the first time today with my new NARS Sheer Matte foundation that is included in my Sephora haul below.

Last, but not least…my Sephora haul! I asked for my belated b-day gift so I got that. It’s a Sephora eyeshadow, an eyeliner brush and a mascara. I haven’t looked into what it is exactly so I can’t say. I also picked up a staple, Urban Decay Primer Potion (Price: $18.00). I have a tube of Too Faced Shadow Insurance in my collection, but I find that Urban Decay works better for me…those two items are very different to me and I hear folks say a lot that they are equivalent. I think not!

I also picked up my very first Make Up For Ever item and I bought an eyeshadow in #99 (Price: $19.00). I had been wanting a red eyeshadow for a long long time and was going to get it from MAC Pro, but I just haven’t been making it over to NYC lately. I went for MUFE and I am super happy with my only red eyeshadow. I had to get another NARS blush because I love them so and got Torrid blush (Price: $26.00) which was next on my list to get. It is a beautiful corally color (not so much brown as Lovejoy), not to shimmery blush…it’s gorge! I’m running out of MAC Studio Fix Fluid so I decided to give NARS Sheer Matte foundation (Price: $42.00) a try and I got it in the shade “Trinidad”. If this is not my shade (it was the darkest available) then I’m going to return it for a refund, but I have heard great things about it.
And lastly, I had to get this nail polish I saw on BeautyChameleon.com while surfing through it called, “Under My Trench Coat” – Sephora by OPI (Price: $9.00). When I saw the swatch about a month ago I was like I had to get it so I got it. It reminds me of a brighter Metro Chic with no purple undertones. I love it. It’s unique when it comes to my polish collection.

That’s all!!! Next haul will be massive and it will be from the MAC To The Beach Collection. I am so looking forward to that collection.
My First Back 2 MAC
So I did my first Back 2 MAC thingy almost two weeks ago and I was able to get two permanent eyeshadows. I was not able to recycle my empty pots for a special packaging lipstick or eyeshadow so I just ended up buying Birds & Berries eyeshadow from the Liberty of London collection because that was the only eyeshadow I wanted from the entire collection.
While I was at my MAC store, I remembered that I was in serious need of a good lip liner to wear with my Fauletlessly lipstick so I picked up “all the rave” Currant lip liner. So far, I think the lip liner is OK, but it doesn’t go well with Faultlessly. I find that I wear it a lot when I rock my nude lipsticks.
Anyway, I did a Back 2 MAC for an eyeshadow in Handwritten and an eyeshadow in Sumptuous Olive which I love! I’m going to do a look with these three eyeshadows because I think they will go good together. I just have to find an outfit to match this trio. OK so here are pictures of my small Back 2 MAC and Liberty of London haul.

Swatches!
Left to right: Sumptuous Olive, Birds & Berries and Handwritten
