Another Nail Polish Collective Haul

I bought a couple of nail polishes one at a time and got them all on sales. The last two polishes I got were 2 for $10. at Walgreens so I hopped on it. The nail polishes are by Sally Hansen and they are called the “Complete Salon Manicure” and I just love these nail polishes.   Now that I think about it I should have picked up some of the HD ones too because they are sooo pretty.  I love the wide brushes and the quality of the nail polishes of the Complete Salon line though.   Here is what I got.

I also wanted to mention that my Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail polish in Commander in Chic matches my Sephora by OPI nail polish in Metro Chic. Commander in Chic is a wee bit darker…just a bit and it’s matte just like Metro Chic. A nice dupe if you don’t want to pay $9 bucks for the OPI one and instead buy the Sally for about $6.50-$7.50 depending on where you shop. Take a look…

Walgreen’s had their BOGO, but the get one was 50% off on Maybelline, Covergirl, Revlon and Rimmel, but I didn’t take advantage because I really didn’t need anything…for once. I did end up picking up a Rimmel Sexy Lash mascara because I heard so many great things about it all over the web and I love that! That mascara separates and lengthens my lashes on the first coat. Pure love! I also picked up a Revlon Makeup Mistake pen. It cleans up the mistakes on my face and I found that I need to use a light hand with it or I can mess up my look because the pen is very wet. Overall I like the mistake because I don’t have to waste concealer trying to clean up my edges. It makes for a nice alternative, but I spent about $9.00 and I don’t think it’s worth that much but whatever.

My Target Clearance Bin Haul

And I did very good this time around too.  I was happy to find everything in the clearance shelf  at Target that my wonderful hubby located this past Saturday.  Here is my haulage…

target clearance beauty haul

Well, I was gawking at this mascara (yep I’m late) called Telescopic by L’Oreal when Hubby came to me with this Eco-Tools brush set and my face lit up like a full moon because I love my Eco-Tools Powder brush and angled liner brush A LOT.  It was the limited edition Alicia Silverstone brush set that I wanted to get when it first came out, but I wasn’t able to find it at my home Target.  The box was a little bit beat up so I opened it up to check out the condition of the brushes and I found that the stippling brush was twisted and kind of damaged.  Hubby came back with another box and so we checked it out and switched the bad stippling brush out for the good one in the other box so it worked out perfectly.

The brush set came with a brush bag and four brushes (blush, stippling, angled shader brush and lash/brow comb brush).  I was happy to have come into this because I was debating on whether or not to purchase a MAC 187 brush which I don’t have, but need.  I have yet to try this brush out, but I hope it works just like the MAC 188 that I do have.  I don’t know the original price of this set, but I got it for $3.47!

There is also a bookmark that came with it that has Alicia’s picture on it that explains what she uses each brush for.  Included is a dollar off coupon on any Eco-Tools product.  I’m not sure what I’ll use it on…maybe another liner brush.

This brush I’m very excited about…the Eco-Tools Finishing brush (stippling) which is dense, firm and very soft.

I also picked up the limited edition Eco-Tools Earth Friendly Train Case which I love and what I’ll be taking with me on vacations.  I also go this lovely case for $3.74!

Yes To Carrots…a brand I had never heard off until I spotted it on the clearance shelf.  I was able to get a stick of C Me Smile lip butter (berry flavor), a squeezy tube of C Me Shine lip gloss (flirty pink flavor) and a tube of C Me Blush lip tint (sunset pink flavor).  These products are 95% organic USDA approved (it says it on the products)…ummm ok.  LOL!  I never heard of that before.  Something is either organic or not, but anyway I am happy to try out these products.  The packaging also says, ” All Natural.  Free of  Parabens.  Three delicious and organic ways to nourish your lips.”  I’m not really into flavored lip products, but I’ll give them all a try for $2.48.

I also picked up two eyeshadows by Almay Pure Blends in Steel (a silver color) and Ivory (an ivory color) to try out because the price was so good on them. I never thought to look at these shadows before, but I’ll see what I can do witth them.  I swatched them and they come out a bit ashy.  I will let you guys know how it comes out on the eye when I get around to using them.  Price: $1.61 for both.

Drugstore Mini Brush Haul

I went on a mini brush haul at CVS this past Sunday and picked up a few dual and small brushes made by Essence of Beauty.  Here are my drug store brand brushes that I’ve heard so many good things about…review is coming soon for each.

From bottom to the top…

-Finishing Brush

-Dual Foundation and Concealer Brush

-Dual Contour and Face Brush

-Dual Blending and Eyeshadow Brush

-Dual Comb/Eyebrow and Eyeliner Brush

-Crease Brush

All of these brushes cost me about $23.00 all together so that’s not bad – CVS had them on sale for 20% off each.

I also stopped by Target on the same day to pick up some odds and ends for my house and got sucked into the beauty aisle.  I liked how the Eco-Tools Powder Brush felt (it’s so soft and dense) and plus it’s cute so I got one of those.  I don’t like the other brushes though because they were either too short (I hate short, SE type brushes) or they didn’t feel right on my skin.  I also picked up a Rimmel Eye Magnifier Waterproof Mascara when I was supposed to buy a CoverGirl Lash Blast instead.  I bought the Rimmel because it was on sale for about four and a half dollars so I say what the hay and picked it up.  I will also do a review on this too – I really like it.  I picked up a cheap eyelash curler because I never had one because I don’t really have any lashes to use on them – the curse of having Asian eyes – but whatever.  And lastly, I bought a travel sized Almay Eye Makeup Remover pads to try them out and yes, they work really well – again – a review about this haul is coming up along with all of my other hauls.  I just have to learn how to edit my videos!
