Maybelline ColorSensational Lipstick in Pink of Me #165
When I looked at it I had to have it and after I swatched it…it was the one for me. This is my first ever (I have a lot of first currently, huh?) Maybelline lipstick and I think I like this line A LOT! I just started getting into lipsticks I guess about six months ago because I didn’t like them at all before because I had a “thing” for lipglosses and balms. I am so over lipglosses and would rather not buy one unless it’s a cool colored, non-chunky dazzleglass from MAC, but other than that I’m over them.
I also found that I have a thing for purple, coral and orange colored lipsticks. Having the skin tone I have you would think I’d run from them. At first, yes and it was all about nudes because I have big lips, well not very big lips. I think these colors look good on me and then I love these color lipsticks so I tend to buy the same type of colors which is insane, but I can’t help it.
Moving on…this lipstick is called Pink of Me and it is a pink color and the only other pink lippie I have is Viva Glam Ga Ga (which I adore) so when I saw this toned down pinky corally color lipstick I had to have it. It goes on like a MAC cremesheen lipstick almost. It’s creamy, the color pops, very color rich and it lasts a good while. Does it get dry afterwhile? Not really, but I have to reapply rarely to add some moisture back. I don’t like putting lipglosses on top of lipsticks unless it’s a cremesheen glass from MAC because those goes on so smooth and thin and adds this incredible milky shine to the lips. My wig hairs get stuck on lipglasses and lipglosses…gross.
The packaging is really nice and I like it a lot – snaps on and off. The only thing I don’t like about Maybelline lipsticks is that you can open them in the store and swatch them and if you don’t like it you can put it back on the shelf. Gross. So make sure to open your lipstick before to check it for use before purchasing it. I wanted to get a second lippie in a purple color, but they were all sold out at the Target I was at so I’ll try again at a later time.
So this is my review (yes, I’m always late because there are so many products to try out with so little time…give me a break). Yesterday I came across the new Pearl colors from this line and I don’t like them. It looks like a lippie you should put on top of another lipstick to give it sheen maybe. I swatched a lot of the colors in the range they had (nude, brown, pink, peach) and they all swatched out looking like the same color on my hand – a very sheer shimmery yellow color ??? Maybe on the lips they look better…I don’t know. But I don’t care. If a lippie doesn’t swatch out right on my hand I don’t buy it.
Now for pics of my lovely lipstick…adore it.
My Walgreens, Odd Lots & Sally’s Beauty Haul!
This past weekend I was not supposed to haul anything because I am supposed to be saving up for spending money to throw away on our upcoming Disney World trip, but you know…ish happens. Anyway, we ended up at Odd Lots and I picked up a few things…
At Odd Lots, I checked out the beauty aisle and saw packs of 30 makeup remover wipes by “Epielle” (never heard of them before) for $1.00 each so I picked up four packs. I should have picked up more because the wipes are VERY GOOD! I am impressed and happy! They are not as big as MAC wipes and are smaller than the Kirkland brand wipes from Costco, but I like these wipes better than the Kirkland ones. These wipes are soft and the Kirkland ones are a bit scratchy – they remove makeup just as good as the MAC wipes and most importantly they are cheap! I will be going back to buy more of these wipes this coming weekend for sure because it’s a great deal!
I also picked up a heated eye lash curler by “Trim” just because it was cheap and I wanted to try out a heated eye lash curler. I paid $2.50 for it so if it sucks I won’t be mad because it’s, well, cheap – no sweat. I have yet to open the package and try it out. I will do a review on it very soon.

I had to go to the Pharmacy over at Walgreens so I took a stroll through the makeup aisle, like I always do, and found that they had a BOGO on Maybelline and I love Maybelline mascaras so I picked up two. I paid full price for one and got 50% off of second one. I wanted to try out the limited addition Collosal Express Volum Diamond mascara so I was drawn to that product right away (which only got OK review) and since I could get the other one half off I decided on Lash Stiletto Voluptuous which I had read good reviews about. I probably will not be reviewing these products for a while because I have other mascaras to finish… Price: I don’t remember and I lost my receipt – SORRY!
And lastly, I picked up my favorite pencils to use to fill in my brows and they are the cheap Wet n Wild brow / eye liner pencil in dark brown. I go through them fast and I’m constantly sharpening, but I love them anyway. Price: $.99 each

All of my other mascaras I need to finish up or work with…

My first time at Sally’s was as success. I hauled nail polishes there only because those were the only products I was interested in in the entire store. Oh, I did pick up those rice paper blotting sheets (30 sheets for $3.49 – not bad) and I really like them. Not bad. I paid the $5.00 and became a Sally’s member. I forget what the official name for it is. I will be going back to Sally’s since there is one in my area now – so close to my house.
Anyway, I’ll show you in pictures as to what I hauled. I paid $4.99 each for the China Glaze polishes, I can’t remember what I paid for the Orly polish and mini base/top coat that came with it and I paid around $4.00 for the Seche Vite base coat (seals like nobody’s business) and around $6.00 for the Seche Vite fast drying top coat (dries hella fast and I have to work to get it off even with a polish remover with acetone). I must say that I have a lot of top and base coats from OPI, Sally Hansen, cheapy ones, etc. and honestly, the Seche products are winners! I will not be using another brand of base or top coats ever againg. The Seche Vite hype around the web and beyond is right on and I am so glad! My nail polishes lasts long, doesn’t chip or dent and dries hella fast. Lovin’ it!

Haulage Before My Last Haul
Not sure what’s up with me, but I’m forgetting to post hauls. I went on a drugstore / MAC haul maybe a week ago…a day before the haul I posted last. Ha! I also got a new Sonia Kashuk Fluffy Eyeshadow brush I forgot to post about as well and I love it. I won’t post a pic of this because I just bought it one day. OMG! This reminds me of the Studio Tools medium eyeshadow brush I picked up too. LOL! OK so I got two brushes from Target that I am not going to post about, but I’m letting you know that I have them and that I love the Sonia Kashuk brushes better than my one Studio Tools brush. I honestly haven’t used my Studio Tools medium eyeshadow brush enough yet so I haven’t learned to love it. I will let you know! Price: $4.99 (Sonia) and $2.00 (Studio Tools)
OK…moving on!
I was out of eye makeup remover (what a tradegy when you don’t have any and you have to remove your makeup!) so I decided on Clean & Clear Eye Makeup Remover because 1. I was at Walgreens so I couldn’t get the Target brand ha!, and 2. it was cheaper that Neutrogena Eye Makeup Remover by 2 bucks. It works just like the Target Eye Makeup Remover brand. *shrugs*. Price: $6.00
Walgreens had Maybelline products as a buy one get one half off so I decided on mascara. I always wanted to try Colossal and Lash Stiletto mascaras so this was almost a good time (I like BOGO better, but oh well). I’m in love with Colossal and will pass on the overrated Lash Stilletto because it’s just plain sloppy. It’s not as sloppy as Rimmel, but it’s sloppy. Colossal rates higher than the overly overly over rated CoverGirl Lash Blast mascara (which I have but don’t use anymore). Price: sorry…I forgot what I paid, but it wasn’t much.
I was tired of wasting my MAC Studio Fix Fluid because I was pouring too much out. Once I pour product on my hand, I do not put it back into the container do product is wasted. So, to remedy the problem I went to get a foundation pump. While I was there I thought I’d give that MAC Kohl Power Pencil in Feline, a repromote, from the Style Black collection a try. I was reading on Specktra that it is the blackest black eye liner MAC has. I love it. I’ve been using it everyday since I got it and I will go back to get a back up because I love it so much. Price: $5.00 (pump) and $14.50 (eye pencil)
Here are pics of my drugstore (Walgreens) and MAC haul:

Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick
Maybelline New York came out with a new line of lipsticks in 48 different shades, called Colorsensational, which fall in the color ranges of pinks, reds, naturals and plums. Here are some images I cropped from there interactive site. I hope it’s OK to use.
On the interactive site, you choose your poison, in this case, you choose your shade. After that you choose your skin tone and then you describe your tastes by the items they have you pick from. There is a rose, a black dress, stilettos, sunglasses and other objects (I can’t remember them all). This just basically narrows down the lipstick shades so there is less to choose from because there are so many shades to choose from.
Click HERE to go to the Maybelline website to see what I’m talking about and see below the images I cropped of the lipsticks from their interactive promo site.
