Friday, August 27th, 2010Pathetic, right? I tried to go to MAC to see if I could get a peek of the new Fabulous Felines collection (8/25/10) and I was turned away. None of my boys were there at day or else I would have gotten to see and swatch everything. Whatever! So today (8/26/10) I’m going to go after work, but yesterday to make myself feel better, I did another little beauty haul and got some of the stuff that actually on my wants list this time around. Here goes…
My MAC Dare To Wear Haul
Monday, August 9th, 2010Late, yeah, I know. I ordered my items on the MAC Dare To Wear launch day and I got my products two days later so I was on point in terms of being an early bird for this one. I am not into those new dazzleglasses at all because in this particular formula the glitter is chunky and I hate flat out hate them. Here is all I got and I am not too impressed with what I ordered (not crazy about this collection at all) — no I’m not, but I’m going to show you all anyway. I will be keeping all of the eyeshadows (Louder Please, Shock-a-holic, Sassy Grass, Crazy Cool, Going Bananas) I bought because they are limited edition and maybe I’ll learn to love them someday. Here is all I got… $14.50 each.

MAC (and Disney) Venomous Villains Collection for Fall 2010

MAC and Disney paired up to bring us this great collection of makeup, well I think it’s great and I am definitely interested in A LOT of the products. Here is my prospective purchase list from the MAC Venoumous Villains Collection which is due out this September… very ambitious, huh? Remember When I Returned Jazzed & Soften the Mood?
Friday, July 23rd, 2010Yeah? Well, I traded them in for one MAC In The Groove item and my first MAC Lipgele!
OK so here is what I got and pictures…
First off all, I picked up my first MAC Lipgele and I got it in Goldensoft which is beautiful, bronzey, sheeny and not sticky at all. It’s a good sparkly neutral lippie for when I’m on the go. It goes on really nice and lasts a good while.
I picked up a MAC Mineralized Blush Duo in A Little Bit of Sunshine in which I absolutely love the bronzey, goldish, glittery side to death! That side looks great as a cheek highlight on me and it’s not too glittery or shimmery. I dust a bit on with my MAC 165 and it’s pure love. Love!
The light brown side is of this duo is matte and the only use I can find for it, since it doesn’t show up on my skin tone, is to use it as an eyeshadow blending color which is fine with me. If I don’t want to blend with Saddle which is a lot lighter I’ll go with this side of the duo.

MAC Digi-Pops Collection Haul from Nordstrom
Tuesday, July 20th, 2010Here was my MAC Digi-Pops wants list I created after I saw Christine (from Temptalia) Youtube video of Digi-Pops Dazzle lipsticks and Dazzleglass swaches…

d/g: You Got the Look, Utterly Posh, Hi Falutin
…and I ended up buying only three products from this collection which is really sad because I really wanted to love these dazzle lipsticks and dazzleglasses, but I wasn’t feeling the excess glitter in the products. I knew they were glittery, I didn’t see them swatch out as glitter seeing it online, but when I got there in person it was a different story. I can see why Temptalia gave the lippies in this collection a B rating – they are just not that good in my opinion.
Here is my MAC Digi-Pops Story (which was also posted on Specktra on launch day):
“I got to the Nordies by my job at 6:30pm, looked through the Digi display and felt like it was snowing glitter. I was in a rush because I had other shopping to do so I bought my must haves from this collection — Hot Sass, Utterly Posh and Baby’s on Fire. None of the other products moved me so I passed on them.
I get home around 7:30pm and I take pics of my haul for my blog and then I try on my products. Too much glitter in Hot Sass for me…very chunky – huge turn off. I was so disappointed because I am madly into oranges this summer, but it’s clunky. I wipe it off and then realize there is glitter around my mouth and I can’t get it off. LOL. Reminds me of those Superglasses I returned some time ago.
I then put on Utterly Posh and same issue, too clunky with glitter. It just didn’t go on smooth enough for me. Heavy like. I wipe that off and more glitter on around my mouth.
I put on Baby’s on Fire and the glitter in it is not clunky at all and it goes on smooooooth. Such a pretty color! I will rock it in the Fall for sure. Love it!
8:30pm I’m at the Nordies by my house returning Utterly Posh and Hot Sass. 
I just knew I was going to love those two from Temptalia’s swatches, but it didn’t work out for me. Just too much clunky glitter, not attractive on me. It also seemed like the glitter in the Dazzleglasses were very chunky and compared to the other dazzleglasses I own, I’m right.”
At least I was able to get one Dazzle lipstick into my collection. I’m happy anyway.

MAC In The Groove & MAC Alice & Olivia Hauls
Tuesday, July 13th, 2010It’s almost crazy that I did three hauls between these two new MAC collections all in the same week/weekend. I’ll start off with my 1st order, then my 2nd and then my last one. Let’s go!
HAUL #1 from the MAC Alice & Olivia and the MAC In The Groove collections from the MACCosmetics.com site…
And what’s not in the box? You guessed it. My Mineralized Skinfinish in Stereo Rose is NOT in the box. I ordered it early in the morning when it went on sale, on the website, two days before it’s official launch date and it still went on backorder after my order went through successfully. Grrrrr. I will post my Stereo Rose Pre-Story and Story in a seperate post. Too much drama for this one.
In my first haul I was sent my MAC eye pencil in Permaplum ($14.50 – needed a dark purple liner) from the In The Groove collection. I also received a pigment in Partylicious ($19.50 – really beautiful), a nail polish in Military ($12.00 – loving it!) and a dazzleglass creme in If It’s Pink ($18.00 – majorly HOT ya’ll!). I love my Alice & Olivia products and I will say that everything in this collection can be worked into the MAC Style Black collection which is my favorite collection. I must say that Alice & Olivia is my second favorite MAC collection to date.
Dazzleglass Creme in If It’s Pink…gorgeous, vibrant, HOT highly pigmented, not sticky and goes on nicely. Swatches for If It’s Pink, the pigment in Partylicious and eye pencil in Permaplum are at the end of this post.
MAC nail polish in Military…really pretty, matte, silver flects, unique, and swatched with no base or top coats.
HAUL #2 from the MAC In The Groove collection which I picked up at my MAC counter…
Looks yummy!
I picked up quite a few things. After I was alerted by MACcosmetics.com about my Stereo Rose going into pending status on backorder I immediately called my MAC counter the next day at opening requesting that they place two (2) Stereo Rose MSFs on hold for me. I needed one and so did my best friend who also put her order in online and got backordered. My counter is the best…they put two Stereo Roses on hold for me. The next day, I flew down to the counter and picked up my MSFs along with some other collection items…
I picked up a beautiful nude colored cremesheen lipstick in Call My Bluff, a nude colored cremesheen glass in You’ve Got It and a mineralized eyeshadow in Togetherness.

Here is a picture of my mineralized skinfinish in Stereo Rose and my cremesheen lipstick in Jazzed (which I’m returning because I can’t work with it on my skin tone).
A close up (but not the best picture) of my mineralized eyeshadow in Togetherness. To me, this is the most unique eyeshadow trio in the collection and I just love love love it and I’m keeping it. It’s not shimmery, no fall outs and the colors go so very well with each other. Love this!

HAUL #3 from the MAC In The Groove collection from another MAC counter (not mine – terrible)…anyway I picked up…a mineralized blush in Band of Roses and a mineralized eyeshadow in Soften the Mood (which I’m returning – pretty, color payoff is not there)
And below, here is Band of Roses next to my Illamasqua Blush in Thrust ($20.00) a for comparison reasons. The darker side of Band of Roses is comparable to my Illamasqua blush in Thrust. I think that, overall, Band of Roses looks like a dupe for Thrust, but it isn’t matte like Thrust. Huh? I think that If I throw one of my highlighting MSFs over Thrust I will come out with Band of Roses.
I will sleep on it a little more, but I may take Band of Roses back. I’m not into collecting the blushes that are similar in color. Hmmmmm….
