“Orly Glaxy Girl”: The Dupe for MAC Formidable!

Beautiful and yes, both Galaxy Girl and Formidable! are identical…

I was not able to get MAC Formidable! from Bloomingdale’s because they were all sold out when they went to do my second order. Not good. I would have been majorly pissed if they didn’t send me MAC Bad Fairy, which there is no dupe for, but I did receive it already (and blogged about a week ago). Whew! All in all I was able to save a few dollars by not getting the MAC one, but it’s the one I really wanted. I am a brat sometimes, but not this time. I am happy with my purchase. Oh and my favorite out of the three Maleficent collection polishes is Formidable! and if I find it some where I will buy it because I’m a straight up MAC head.

Since there is a dupe of MAC Formidable! (thankfully), I decided to stop by Sally to see if I could get a look at the dupe. I was able to pick up the last bottle of Orly Galaxy Girl. They also had one bottle left of of Orly Space Cadet, which is a dupe for MAC Mean & Green, but I passed on it because I didn’t like MAC Mean & Green when I first saw swatches. I don’t know if the Orly dupes are limited, but it doesn’t matter because I have all I want.

Below is a swatch of Orly Galaxy Girl nail polish I took this morning. I painted my nails with Orly Galaxy Girl this past Monday afternoon. If this was a swatch of MAC Formidable! I would have lots of chipping going on by now even with using Seche Clear as a base and Seche Vite for a top coat (which I use with every polish change). I do not wear gloves when I wash dishes or clean or wash my hair so I am very hard on my nails.

I have some polish that has vanished from the tips of my nails, but that’s it…no chipping and it still looks good. I own another bottle of Orly, but I have yet to wear it so this is my first time using Orly and I have to say I love the staying power and the quality of this polish. I used two coats of this polish to get this color payoff. This duo chrome color reminds me of a very dark wine color with fine flects of teal glitter when worn. My camera doesn’t do this polish color any justice so forgive me…I tried my best. Price: $7.99

Nice! I’d like to get my hands on the dupe for Mean and Green.
