MAC Venomous Villians Haul & Swatches

The MAC Venomous Villains collection hit the stores this past Thursday and I was able to get all of the things I wanted out of this collection because I put them old hold a week and a half before it was released. I don’t have any pictures of the nail polishes I picked up because those were the only things that were not put on hold for me because the counter where I placed my hold only got in 2 each of the nail polishes. I was able to place an order with Bloomingdales so my nail polishes are on the way! I decided on Bad Fairy and Formidable!…was not feeling Mean & Green so I passed on it. As for the collection as a whole, I love the packaging andall of the colors. I think MAC did a great job overall. I would have liked to see more with Dr. Facilier, but I think his collection came out pretty good. I am happy with my purchase. Swatches at the end! Anyhooo…here is my haul!

When I first heard about the Magically Cool Powder early on I knew that I had to have it so I got that in Cajun. I missed out on Resort Life Lipgele from the Lilyland collection and I’m glad I did because now I have one with Shadow Man on it (woot!). Last thing I got from Dr. Facilier’s collection was the “I’m So Vain” mirror because I had to have it – one side is a regular mirror and the other side is magnified. I really wanted to support this part of the collection because Shadow Man is the bomb when it comes to villains…if you don’t believe me then go watch Princess and the Frog right now. *sings* “Are you ready????!!!!”

This powder looks so good on my skin. It gives it life. I dust a little over all of my makeup and it gives my face a nice glow. There is a very light shimmer in it and I like that. Goes on cool and I feel refreshed afterwards. No need to spray Fix + on my face at all. MAC is making this product permanent soon, but I think I should get a backup now since Dr. Facilier is on the packaging. I have been using this everyday since I got it…it will run out soon.

My favorite Disney villain of all time is Maleficent. I collect her official Disney pins and have for a long time. I was excited when MAC first announced this collection so it was natural for me to get almost everything from her collection and I did. I got all except for three items. I didn’t get Dark Deed lipstick, Wrong Spell lipglass or Mean & Green nail lacquer. I might go back and get Dark Deed since I didn’t get a back up of Kittenish

I picked up Briar Rose beauty powder (I can wear it as a blush – NC50), My Dark Magic mineralized eyeshadow duo (pictured on the left), She Who Dares Mineralized eyeshadow duo (pictured on the right), Revenge Is Sweet lipglass and Violetta lipstick (a pro color, but I’m glad I was able to get Maleficent on the packaging). I also got Bad Fairy and Formidable! nail polishes, but they are in the mail coming to me from Bloomingdales. I will make a separate post once I get them in.

I wasn’t going to get anything from the Cruella DeVil part of the collection until I saw an NC44 on Youtube rocking this combination. Once I saw it on her I had to have these…I picked up Heartless lipstick and Wicked Ways lipglass.

Last but not not least, I had to pick up the most popular item from the overall collection, which happens to come from the Evil Queen collection, and that is BITE OF AN APPLE blush. I loves loves it!!! It is beautiful and I am so glad I have it. I hope everyone picked it up…it’s a must have for all MAC addicts! This is a corally pink blush and it will show up on all skin tones nicely because you are able to build with this one. It’s not one of those blushes where you pick it up with brush and get a powerful color…you have to build which is nice!
