Stuffs I Got From Target
I love Target. I love Target. I picked up a few things as you can see.
I really like Mariah Carey’s fragrances, they work well with my body’s chemistry and now I own them all. I picked up a 1 oz. bottle of Forever which I’ll probably be out of by the end of October. I should have just gone to Macy’s and gotten a bigger bottle. Whenever I run out of any of MC fragrances I’ll be replacing every time so it doesn’t matter. I am not good at describing perfume smells so I’m not going to try to. The bottle is pretty and made of glass, but the top is loose (bleh) so you cannot pick it up by the its top. Price: $39.99
I needed a better buki for the makeup bag I carry with me everyday so I used my dollar off coupon and got a retractable one from EcoTools (forgot how much I paid – maybe $9.00). I was carrying my Sonia Kashuk buki, but it doesn’t have a cover so it would get caught in my makeup bag’s zipper all the time – annoying. This buki does the job and stays clean and the bristles stay out of the way. It’s very dense and doesn’t spread open during application like my Kashuk buki so I have to watch how I load it up with any powder before I put it on my face. The bristles are soft, synthetic and are made of the same fibers as all of their other face brushes. No shedding, of course and easy to clean. I like the size in that it is compact and the metal handle, cover are very light in weight. I didn’t want to pay over $15.00 for a buki brush so I went with this one.
Kabuki brushes start at $30.00 on the higher end side and I don’t want to run a brush for that price in my makeup bag because they do not come with covers…bleh. And before anybody messages me that Too Faced has a kabuki with a cover…I know that and Too Faced’s buki is flimsy re: the brush bristles aka not worth the money.
Lastly, I wanted to practice using brow wax and powder so I went with ELF Studio brow Kit because I wanted to keep it inexpensive just in case I don’t like working with wax. Guess what…I don’t like working with wax so that means I don’t have to spend money on Urban Decay’s brown box. It could be that this ELF brow kit sucks, but I cannot confirm that because I don’t know how to work with brow wax and powder. *shrugs* I’ll come back to review this one once I learn what I need to learn about this. The packaging is a plastic compact with a mirror and looks like a NARS blush or duo eyeshadow compact from afar…again, from very afar. It’s definitely forgery. LOL. Price: $3.00
