The “Day Before MAC Fabulous Felines Collection Launch” Haul
Pathetic, right? I tried to go to MAC to see if I could get a peek of the new Fabulous Felines collection (8/25/10) and I was turned away. None of my boys were there at day or else I would have gotten to see and swatch everything. Whatever! So today (8/26/10) I’m going to go after work, but yesterday to make myself feel better, I did another little beauty haul and got some of the stuff that actually on my wants list this time around. Here goes…
I posted the picture of the Estee Lauder boxes because I really like the way they look…I won’t post it again in the future. I promise.
I picked up an Estee Lauder nail polish in Surreal Violet and I saw it on the Temptalia blog not too long ago so I added it to my wantages list because I thought it was so pretty. I have a nail polish by Brucci (that cost me a dollar years ago that has no name) that looks something like this polish. I might do a Brucci collection post…ha! I have had my Bruccis since I was 17 years old and they are still going strong. What!
Anyway, The Brucci one has more iridescence in it, but basically they look almost the same. I should have done a comparison – forgive me. This is a sweet polish for Spring and Summer. Price: $18.00
This next item caught my eye right away as I was approaching the Estee Lauder counter. I am not…I was not…into Estee Lauder at all so I didn’t expect to purchase or look at anything else from that brand except to get the nail polish. I think I like that line. I really love the this line (Pure Color) of lipglosses. This lip gloss is called Estee Lauder Pure Color 60 Midnight Bloom Sparkle.
I didn’t have a color like this in my collection so now it’s added. It’s a dark color, kind of vampy / can also be worn conservatively as well. Most likely I’ll be rocking this gloss in the Fall and Winter specifically when I go out at night. It’s gorgeous, has sparkle in it (not chunky like those horrid MAC Superglasses), very pigmented and feels so good on the lips. It smells like a fruit of some kind…maybe raspberry, I don’t know. It’s a deep burgandy or wine color with fine glitter in it. Pure love. I’m going back to get more for sure. Price: $20.00
After I was rejected at MAC…lol…I need a couple of things from my wants list so I grabbed Groundwork Paint Pot and tried to get Club in a pan, but they didn’t have anymore. Every MAC I have gone to does not have Club in a pan. What is up with that??? I am not trying to depot another eyeshadow that comes in a pan unless I get it from a CCO or if it’s limited edition. No mas! So, I was only able to get Groundwork. Price: $16.50
Last, but not least, I had to stop by Sephora because I just love that place. I have several NARS blushes on my wantages list on the left of my blog, but of course, I bought a blush that was not on the list…I picked up NARS Dolce Vita blush – yes, I’m late on this one. I’ve been really like colors like this as of late (remember I bought Pomergrante smudge pot from Stila – yeah). Dolce Vita is beautiful ya’ll. It adds a light flush of color to my cheeks and not too much color (using the MAC 129) which is what I like about it. Beautiful! Price: $26.00
