My “Aromaleigh Closing Shop” Mineralized Eyeshadow Sample Haul

One day two or three weeks ago I was reading the Shades of U beauty blog and the owner wrote a post saying how Aromaleigh had decided to close down their business.  I don’t know why, but I don’t care to know the drama behind it.

Anyway, I think I got 40% off my purchase using a coupon code.  So I basically got 33 sample eyeshadows that were $1.00 each for $25.00 which included shipping.  I mostly chose mattes and metallics…the metallics are very nice.  The shadows are milled very fine so I have to be careful as to how much I go to pick up with my brush.  The samples are very small, but I  can’t see myself using these all up since I have so many eyeshadows and pigments to play around with.

The eyeshadows can in small baggies like these and I save t he bags because there is still alot of product left stuck to the baggies which I don’t want to waste…

I bought one of those “jewelry beading storage container kits” from Michaels for $9.99 (which I love) and I was able to fit 24 eyeshadows in this kit (thanks to hubby for helping me un-bag and peel off labels).

If a mess should occur it won’t mess up my storage unit and will stay in the case – fabulous.  I have to go back and get some stackables for the 9 eyeshadows I have to left to un-bag.

I took the labels off the bags and put them on the bottoms of each container so I can know the names of what I’m using at any given moment.  And here is how it looks…

I have yet to try these shadows out and when I do I probably will not do any reviews on it because Aromaleigh will probably be gone altogether by then.  I’m just glad I was able to get a chance to get a few products before they were all gone.  It’s nice to have some loose mineralized shadows on hand to play with and I got them cheap.  Other than these I just own one loose mineralized eyeshadow from Bare Escentuals called Denim (a shimmery royal blue) which I love.  I hope Aromaleigh is as good as my BE eyeshadow.  :)
