My New Elf Quad & Swatches
Let me start off by saying that I took pictures with my Iphone so sorry about the darkness. Although the pictures have no flash, the pictures show the true colors of my new eyeshadows – kinda closely.
I had no business in the beauty section because I’m trying to save money (ha!), but I found my way over there somehow. I got these eyeshadows from Kmart while shopping for laundry products on my lunch hour. I never wanted to order anything from ELF online because I didn’t want to waste my money if I didn’t like the products so when I saw these I grabbed each item for one dollar each. Five bucks was not going to break me, so why not? I don’t think I’ll be buying anymore unless I can get them at the store and if the shadows are vibrant.
I got back to my desk at work and immediately opened up everything and swatched out the eyeshadows. I haven’t tested these on my face yet so I don’t know how it will come out. I like how these eyeshadows swatch out. One swipe gave me my swatches…good pigmentation at best and they swatch out, all, with frost finishes. I think I like this set of neutral colors and I’m going to probably do a look with these this weekend. Will definitely post.

Colors above from LEFT to RIGHT: Mocha (2505 – reminds me of that bronzey red color in MAC Spiced Chocolate quad, but not as vibrant), Pink Ice (2507 – reminds me of a shimmery version of MAC Ricepaper eyeshadow), Gold Glow (2506 – is a true gold jewel color), Moondust (2502 – reminds me of Satin Taupe, but darker with a hint of purple untertones in it)

Also, I wanted to say that the one dollar ELF quad palette has a mirror in it and it can hold MAC eyeshadow pans as well. Nice! I just have Saddle, Ricepaper and Sketch in the quad right below.
