Maybelline Clearance Haul from Target
Sunday, August 30th, 2009So, I went through the makeup clearance bin at Target yesterday to look through the last of the products that were left and I ended up picking up all Maybelline products. I got each item for under 2 bucks each so hey, no worries.

I picked up a Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Cream Foundation w/ SPF 18 in Tan / Dark 1 for $1.98. I have never read any reviews on this foundation and I know nothing about it, but all I know is that I need more coverage and my Bare Escentuals Foundation is just not doing it for me anymore. I could go and pick up Bisque, but I don’t feel like spending the money on it so I’ll give this foundation a try and HOPE it won’t break me out as I’m having issues with breaking out this season.
Second, I picked up a Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer with Micro-Minerals in Latte / Dark0-3 for $1.83 and I’m hoping it’s in the right shade. Again, I never read any reviews on this concealer and I know nothing about it. I’ll give a try and we’ll see what happens!
Third, I picked up a Maybelline Express Finish Nail Polish in Spiced Cider (245), which looks like a peachy taupe color, for $.87. This color will go good on my toe nails.
Lastly, I picked up two Maybelline Lip Polish in Sweet Blush (200) for $1.24 each. It looks like a diced, creamy peach (the fruit) when you look inside the packaging. The gloss is peachy with a nice gold undertone sheen in it with bits of pink swirl in it. It comes out light and sheeny on my lips, but for me, it will make a good top coat over a lipstick or a tinted lip moisturizer.
Oh and I picked up a bottle of nail polish remover because I spilled my other bottle empty last week. It was a new bottle too. Bleh! Had to include it in my haul because it is a part of beauty.
That’s it!
Zoya Haul Completed!
Sunday, August 30th, 2009I received the rest of my Zoya Nail Polish shipment and here is what came… (from left to right):
Richelle, Freja and Kalista

Very very beautiful shades in person. All have very nice, fine sheen to it. I am very happy with my purchases.
A Beauty Supply Haul
Sunday, August 23rd, 2009I love beauty supply stores so when I saw one while walking around with my hubby and daughter at Columbus Farmers Market yesterday I had to go in. It is a wholesale store call J&M so everything in there was priced cheap. My total order came to $20. so that was good.
J&M had lots and lots of CoverGirl, Maybelline, Victoria Secret, Jordana, L’Oreal, Avon, The Body Shop, Physician’s Formula and Revlon makeup (there were more brands, but I can’t think of any more right now). They also had lots of makeup brushes and other tools. They had nail polishes of a brand I never heard of and I cannot remember the name.
Earlier in the day I had watched GregoryGorgeous’ new Youtube video re: Skincare and he mentioned St. Ives (but he switched over to Cetaphil) but I grabbed a couple of products anyway because my breakouts are still going on since I switched over from Neutrogena to Clean & Clear. So yeah, I grabbed St. Ives Elements Olive Scrub (which I tried out already and it left my skin so soft and feeling clean $2.99) and St. Ives Swiss Formula Firming Mask (that I also tried out today and it left my skin amazingly soft – $2.99).
I also grabbed a bottle of Johnson’s Extra Conditioning Baby Shampoo for my brushes ($1.99), a random bottle of top coat for my nails because I needed one ($1.00), L’Oreal Paris Telescopic Liquid Liner in Carbon Black ($1.99), Secret Deodorant ($2.00) and two Maybelline Unstoppable liners in Espresso and in Onyx. Hubby picked up some Colgate toothbruhes and something else…I can’t remember. Here is my beauty supply haul pic.

CCO & MAC Haul With My Best Friend!
Sunday, August 23rd, 2009My best friend Lisa dragged me (oh yeah I was really kicking and screaming LOL) to my CCO because 1. she wanted quality makeup and 2. she had never been before so we had to go last Wednesday night.
We arrived at Jersey Shore Outlets around 6pm and we literally stayed there for close to two hours swatching and looking through everything. The people at my CCO are wonderful always! I’ve only been twice and both times the customer service was phenomenal. Everyone was eager to help us out there despite our being loud and going back and forth throughout the store.
Earlier in the day we had called down to the CCO just to make sure that the Fascinating palette from the 2008 Christmas collection. I have it and Lisa wanted one too so we got it. She really adores the smokey look so why not just get it all in one palette and save than to spend lots on pans at the MAC store? So, that was a go.
We get into the store and locate the Fascinating palette. An employee told me on the phone earlier that they had So Ceylon MSF in so I went and grabbed that and she grabbed one as well. My best friend and I were talking about Gorgeous Gold eyeshadow some time ago because we saw it at a counter in Macy’s and it was a color we wanted so we picked that up at the CCO. We made our way over to the brushes because finally they were all back in stock so we picked up our first MAC brush ever which is the 217 and I truly adore it!
Over where the brush display is I noticed that they had Hello Kitty stuff plastered down too. EEEEEEEEEEEK! The last time I was at the CCO an employee told me they were all sold out of Hello Kitty so when we saw it we went for Pink Fish immediately. I was kind of bummed because two weeks before I hunted down a Hello Kitty Lip Conditioner in Popster at Bloomingdales and bought that. Had I gone to the CCO I would have gotten both Popster and Pink Fish at the discounted price, but how could I know? *shrugs*
My CCO also had one of the Hello Kitty quads and my best friend picked that up. Both beauty powders were available as well, but I passed because the compact is not big like the Heatherette one so I didn’t like it and I love my Smooth Harmony so I may just go back and get another one. They also had the Hello Kitty mystery powder, you know the one with the Swarovski crystals in the compact? Yes, that. They only had two available at $68 bucks and I didn’t have the money for it so I passed on that. It was a very good deal though. There are were no Dazzleglasses unfortunately or we would have gotten a few.
My best friend bought two of of the Christmas collection lipglasses – I forget what they are called. So she got 6 lip glosses (all neutral colors) and 6 dazzelglasses for $28 bucks. The sizes of the lipglasses were half the size of a regular lipglass. Still a good deal because these will last her for a long while. She also got a compact of 3 lipsticks and another compact with 6 eyeshadows in it from the Christmas collection as well.
We hit up the MAC store in Shrewsbury, NJ at the Shrewsbury Mall because she wanted the 226 brush. We also picked up a 239 brush as well. I didn’t get a contractable lip brush, but she did so she ended up with four MAC brushes. Sweet!
To make things even better, everything I got that evening my best friend paid for as a gift to me. She said that I’m always helping her out and stuff and that I deserved my goodies. Because of her I was able to get my first MAC brushes. Yay! I’ve been giving my Essence of Beauty brushes the evil eye for a while now because I hate them despite all of the rave reviews. I do LOVE LOVE LOVE MY ECO-TOOLS POWDER BRUSH THOUGH – so go figure!
Here are pics of my lovely CCO and MAC haul with the Viva Glam promo card with Fergie on it!!!

Half of My Zoya Nail Polish Haul Came in!
Sunday, August 23rd, 2009ArtofBeauty.com had a 3 for free on all of their nail polishes on August 4 to the 6, I believe. I had put two orders in on the 6 of August so I’m not too sure how long the sale lasted, but I was so happy I got mine in before the midnight deadline. I found out about this lovely deal through a post on Specktra.com forums. All I had to do was pay $6.95 for shipping which is fantastic because each nail polish costs about 6 dollars so I basically bought one and to two for free. I’m am trying to grow my nail polish collection so this was a great deal for me. I would have put in more orders, but I ran out of money + the husband wouldn’t have been too thrilled because I spend on beauty like crazy so…
The customer service over at Art of Beauty is fantastic. There was a problem with my credit card being charged (not sure why), but AOB sent me an email several days later telling me to call them to resolve the issue before 5pm or the deal was off. So, I called them and I was able to remedy the problem. Problem solved! They could have just simply canceled my order, but they didn’t. Wonderul customer service!
To date, I have only received one order last week and here they are. It was delivered by USPS to my job and it was wrapped in bubble wrap and was sealed in a regular small sized padded, orange envelope. It also cam with a Zoya brochure listing the names and swatches of all of their nail polishes. My camera was acting out when I was trying to take pictures of the colors on my nails so it’s a bit blurry. Colors from left to right in the top pic are: Creamy (an old time taxi cab yellow and I got this because I saw MissChievous wearing a similar color in one of her Youtube vlogs), Midori (a celadon colored green also with sheeny gold under tone) and Irene (a Pine Cone tree green with a sheeny gold under tone).

I’m loving the quality of these polishes so I’m happy to know that I’ll be receiving my other three very soon. I wore them for a few days without a top coat and they lasted about three days with no chipping which is very good!
Teeny, mini MAC Haul – Here Kitty Kitty!
Sunday, August 9th, 2009Most of my hauls will be teeny because I cannot afford to spend hundreds or even 50 bucks a haul on makeup at one time so I’m adding to my stash slowly.
OK so I stopped by Bloomingdales yesterday because they are the only store that (I believe most of them in the tri-state area) has some MAC Hello Kitty stuff left so I picked up the Hello Kitty Lip Conditioner in the shade Popster and I really like it! I put it on as soon as I bought it. The pigmentation is there, but the application is sheer if that makes sense. It is not as moisturizing as I thought it would be, but it’s fine. I did eventually put some lipgloss over it (NYX).
I also bought my first MAC Paint Pot in the shade Painterly. I’m hoping to give some brightness to my eyes as it will be a bright base for me AND will definitely make my eyeshadow pop more. I like the consistency of the product and I know for sure I’ll just need to use a teeny bit because the pigmentation it goes a long way.
That’s it for my teeny MAC haul. I told you all it was teeny. I am a MAC NW45 so this is how swatches show up on me. So now, here are the pics! Excuse my messy computer desk!

Ooooh...a MAC bag!!!

I see something!

Yes...2 products @ 33 bucks. Don't ask!
